1. How do I reserve a moonwalk?

2. What are the minimum and maximum hourly rental requirements?
Your rental options vary from city to city. A typical rental period ranges from 3-4 hour rental, or a daily rental of 7-8 hours, additional hours are also available on an hourly rate ranging from $25.00-$95.00 per hour depending upon the inflatable being rented. You decide on the specific time you want your bouncer set up by and we will arrive between 30 minutes and 3 hours before that start time. You never pay for the set up time! All rental periods are for the full use of your little jumpers! Pick up time depends on the number of hours you have rented the unit for. If you definitely need the unit picked up by a certain time (exmp: parties at parks or you need to leave) just let us know upon placing your reservation and we will make a note for the delivery personal.
3. Can we keep the equipment overnight?
If you have a secure location you have the option to keep the equipment overnight for an overnight flat fee ranging from $50.00-75.00 for bouncers (excluding lock–in’s) Affordable Moonwalks reserves the right to deny any event of this service. Affordable Moonwalks also reserves the right to cancel the overnight portion of any event at any time if we have reason to believe that our property is at risk of vandalism or theft.
4. Are your units safe?
YES! Affordable Moonwalks has all their equipment custom designed with safety in mind for their customers using only the top manufactures in the United States. All our manufactures are hand picked for their commitment to manufacturing and engineering inflatable products that offer the highest quality and flame retardant materials, holding the highest standards on strength, durability and overall design for safety.
In addition to only carrying bouncers that are 15 x 15 in size or larger giving children plenty of room to jump in safely we have added safety steps on all our bouncers to help the children to get in and out of the bouncer safely and a special safety door which prevents children from bouncing out of the unit if bouncing near the doorway. In addition to these features we also have had a special deflation feature added to our units which keeps the unit from deflating too quickly in case of loss of electricity to the blower this feature allows the children to exit safely before the unit deflates completely.

5. Do you provide on-site instructions?
We take our customers safety very seriously here at Affordable Moonwalks. All of our safety rules are posted on the outside of each unit along with written instructions on each piece of equipment are provided to you upon delivery for your review. Upon set up of your equipment our delivery personal will review all safety rules and answer any questions or concerns you may have prior to use.
Attendants are suggested and available for an additional charge of $15.00 per hour (some larger interactive pieces include attendants in our special rates.
6. What is the expected method of payment?
We accept the major credit cards Visa or Mastercard and gladly accept cash, local checks and money orders.
7. Is a deposit required?
Yes, due to the popularity of our designer inflatables there is a $75.00 deposit to reserve your unit for the time needed (or 25% of larger orders) in order to place your order in a confirmed status. We can guarantee your order on a credit card and allow you to pay in full on delivery.
8. When is payment expected?
Payment for the balance is due at time of delivery before setting up your equipment. Your deposit will be applied to total charges.
9. What is your cancellation policy?

In order to insure that your deposit is refunded, you must cancel two weeks prior to your scheduled delivery time. If cancellation occurs from 7-13 days your deposit amount is forfeited. Cancellation under 7 days may result in loss of your entire rental contract unless otherwise rescheduled.*

*Depending greatly upon the situation and at the discretion of Affordable Moonwalks management team.

10. What happens if it rains?
We all know how unpredictable Michigan weather is- it could be raining all morning and the next thing you know the sun peaks out and it’s a beautiful day! Or the weatherman predicts rain all day Sunday and then it holds off until Monday! Although most storms do blow through the good thing is all of our moonwalks do have roofs, which will allow use in a light rain, or the use after a heavy rain blows through by leaving the unit standing and drying out with the help of the blower and a few towels. Once the bouncer is dry it is safe again to be used.
We will do everything in our power to accommodate and deliver as promised to those little anxious angels so excited about their fun day. We will still load your unit in our trucks and keep our eye on the weather and if weather breaks and you still want us to deliver we will be there in a flash!
But if due to inclement weather there are winds over 25 MPH and heavy rains and we can not set up the unit safely a decision may be made to not deliver the unit to you, at that time you are released from any commitment and financial responsibility. However, once the unit is delivered and setup, NO refund will be made.
Affordable Moonwalks management will make a decision on the date that the event is taking place and contact you that morning.
11. Are the Moonwalks clean?
Yes. Each and every unit is thoroughly cleaned with a chemical free antibacterial cleanser between each use. We are committed to making sure that your children have a clean, healthy, and safe environment in which to play. In addition to cleaning, we also safety check and troubleshoot all equipment before it goes out to each client. This way, you are always guaranteed a unit that is safe, clean and in good working order.
12. Do I have to be home to accept delivery?
Yes. We need you to be home to show us where your electrical outlet is and in order to go over safety rules, set up the equipment where you would like and sign the rental agreement and credit card voucher.
13. How long does it take to set up?
For bouncers your approximate set up time is 15 minutes, larger interactive inflatables can take up to 15-30 minutes for each unit. We do not charge you for your set up time. Your time starts as indicated on your reservation, you have complete use of the equipment for the full rental period.
14. If it's hot outside does it get hot inside the inflatables?
Actually, it stays very comfortable inside, the moonwalks lose air with every bounce (that is what makes them bouncy- the loss and refilling of air!) so it always feels breezy and cool inside. Each unit has large netted windows which allows the air to move in and out freely with plenty of ventilation and also allows parents to easily monitor their children. Plus all of our units feature sun protected roofs to keep out the heat on those hot summer days.
15. Do you deliver to my area?
We deliver in and around SE Michigan including Oakland (local delivery area), Macomb, Wayne and Gennesse Counties. However, please call or e-mail us to find out if we are able to deliver in your area. NOTE: Certain areas may require an additional delivery fee.
16. Do you set up in parks?
Yes, however, electrical services may not be available. We can provide a generator for an additional charge. For a water slide or dunk tank set up you will need access to a water outlet and must supply your own hose.
17. How much room do I need for setting up the moonwalk?
For our safe & spacious 15'x15' units, you'll need an area roughly 16'x16'. If you are unsure what size your yard is, you can measure it or "walk it off" heel to toe in a man's shoe (it'll be about 1 foot per step) to approximate. If you can imagine two parked cars side by side in your set up area, most likely we can fit the unit of your choice in that area. Also, most two car driveways can accommodate most units. Don't forget your vertical clearance! You'll need an area free of low wires, about 15-17 feet high. The area should be level, free of rocks and sticks and any in ground sprinkler systems should be shut off and not protruding.
18. How much room do you need to bring the moonwalk in?
A standard walk through gate is fine. We bring the unit rolled up and wheel it in on a standard hand truck (dolly). If a person can comfortably walk through, we can fit the bouncer through too!
19. Can you set up on my driveway?
Yes, however we prefer to set up in a lawn or grassy area if possible because it is easier to secure the unit but we can set up in a parking lot, driveway, or other hard surface using our sand bag anchoring system. We will not set up on a gravel driveway or in sand. If you have a two car width driveway, most likely our bouncer will fit. A slight slope is not a problem. Typically, we like to see the entrance of the unit at the top of any slope.
20. My yard slopes a bit, is that a problem?
A slight slope is not a problem. Typically, we will place the entrance of the unit at the top of any slope. Please keep in consideration the delivery staff when deciding where you want the moonwalk placed if the driver feels it will be too difficult to set the unit up exactly where you want it an alternate spot may need to be chosen.
21. Does it need electricity? How much does it use?
Yes. We will bring a 50 or 100 foot extension cord with us, so you'll need an regular electrical outlet near the set up area. The blower runs continuously and uses approximately 14 cents of electricity per hour. Your blow dryer uses more than that! NOTE: All blowers and wiring are safety checked before delivery. Always keep guests away from the blower and electrical outlet. All units must be set up at least 100 feet away from any pools or lakes.
22. What are your hours of operation?
During our High Season May thru October our office is open from 9am - 9pm Mon. thru Friday and 9am - 6pm Saturday and 10am – 4pm Sunday. Our customer support lines are open continually on the weekends. If you happen to get voicemail at any time, please leave your name and number and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
23. How far in advance do I need to order?
Our units are rented on a first come first serve basis. To ensure the unit you want is available for the date of your event, we suggest 2-6 weeks before your scheduled event contact us to make your reservation. If you have a last minute event, please check with us for availability as we generally have some units available for last minute bookings, if you are not choosy about style preference.
24. Does Affordable Moonwalks have insurance?
YES, Affordable Moonwalks is fully insured with 1,000,000.00 liability insurance policy. A copy of our insurance binder is available upon request at time of rental. Additional insureds naming your company as additional insured available upon request.
25. Who sets up the bounce?
We set up the bounce and take it down when we come back to pick it up. If there are any large hills we may ask you for a little help to go up the hill with our hand dolly. We ask that you shut down the unit by pulling the plug after your event time is finished. In cases of rain leave the unit plugged in and standing so the unit does not fill up with water.
26. Can a moonwalk be set up indoors?
YES, Our units can be set up inside or outside. You will need to have enough ceiling height to accommodate the unit at least 16 feet. The units must not be near any hot lights, fans, vents or any other hazardous equipment. Many community centers, gyms or commercial halls will be adequate for set up. We do have indoor units for the winter months custom made to fit into your garage or basement.
27. How many children can fit into a bouncer?
The amount of children that can fit into our 15 x 15 bouncer varies according to the size and age of the children. You never want to mix big kids with littler kids for safety purposes. Generally speaking between 6-10 kids at one time-safely and comfortably with plenty of room to jump! Our moonwalks come in several sizes so you may want to check out our designer or classic lines to decide which unit fits your events particular needs.
28. How much does it cost?
As our name indicates “Affordable Moonwalks” strives to be affordable so that everyone will have the opportunity to enjoy our unique services! Our prices do fluctuate seasonally and is based on a number of factors. We do offer weekday discounts and last minute specials based upon availability. For accurate pricing you may fill out our online reservation request form or you may call our local or toll free number during regular business hours.
29. Can I get a discount?
YES. We have several ways in which we reward our dedicated customers. First, we have a highly sophisticated data base that keeps track each year you return to Affordable Moonwalks for your entertainment needs, we have a surprise bonus that allows us to apply either a fixed dollar discount or additional time to your rental. Second each time you refer a customer to Affordable Moonwalks you will receive a $10.00 referral bonus posted to your account that can be used towards your next rental. (for referred parties over $500.00-you receive a $50.00 bonus) and last but not least each and every year Affordable Moonwalks hosts a HUGE “Customer Appreciation Party” that you and your family are invited to attend. We also offer package discounts for reservations that include three or more items.
30. What is your Customer Appreciation Party?
Our “Customer Appreciation Party” is an annual event thrown just for our repeat customers. Just a way we say Thank You for choosing “Affordable Moonwalk & More” for all your entertainment needs. This event is by invitation only and invited guests enjoy a fun filled day of enjoying a sizzling barbeque, eating your childhood favorite carnival foods along with testing out all our latest and coolest additions to our inventory for the new season, such interactive inflatables like our 60’ Obstacle Course “Millenium Challenge”, Our 26’ King of the Mountian Climbing Wall, or our newest Panda Bear Bounce & Slide or Big Splash Water Slide and 20’ Fire Engine Slide! We give away FREE rentals and give you a chance to meet our staff and latest additions of entertainers.
31. Can anyone bounce?
Unlike our competitors our bouncers are custom made to accommodate adults as well as children. So even Grandma can get in on the action! The most important rule when allowing teens or adults to use the bouncer is that you follow all safety rules provided for safe use and NEVER mix bigger people with the littler ones.
32. What if I find another company that has cheaper rental rates?
In our many years of experience we have had many calls of frustrated customers that called us last minute because the company they choose to do business with did not show up for their party! There are less expensive inflatable rental companies with less expensive inflatables in the market, but remember you get what you pay for!
